Bada Bling!
Inspired by this vintage 1980's glam fabric itself (passed down from my mother) it only seemed fair that i create a fantastic party frock. The design process began from my original pattern design and transformed into a fun and cheeky cocktail dress.
Inside Out. Outside In.
When looking at the buildings of Peter Stutchbury Architects, it is clear that all the designs have a strong relationship with the surrounding environment and incorporates exterior factors into the interior such as the water, Australian natural bush land and the sky. The buildings showcase these natural surroundings through an open and airy interior and exterior design, utilizing natural light and plenty of large glass structures. ‘Inside Out. Outside In’ is a collaborative project with Stutchbury’s ‘Garden House’. It engages in this idea of bringing the outdoors in and the indoors out. The series of ceramic vessels are of different sizes and proportions. The smaller ones are intended to be places on an outdoor table as functional candleholders, creating a natural light for night occasions. The larger, more delicate vessels are to be placed indoors as an ornamental feature piece which can be filled with nothing or pieces of the earth i.e. twigs, flowers, water. The idea is that the vessels contain elements of nature to bring inside and outside the ‘Garden House’. The organic shapes of the vessels mirror the soft flowing lines of the water and beautiful trees and flora surrounding the area of the Garden House (Seaforth). The Process in which the vessels were formed is very fluid and reflects the unrefined quality of nature.

Can I Kick It?
Getting funky in black and gold...
Jewellery piece designed and created using brass metal and Perspex. Hand sawing and polishing, hollow rivets and sanding were some of the techniques used.
The black bandeau top was also designed and created for styling the photo with simple techniques such as machine sewing from a self constructed pattern.
Rub-a-dub-dub!
Lucky Buddha Pot.
"An idea that is developed and put into action is more important than an idea that exists only as an idea." -Buddha
Whole pot was constructed using moulds to create the base structure, then buddha figure was all added and moulded by hand.
The pot was fired in a kiln with metallic surface treatment added for dynamic depth to the figure.

The Splendours of Splendour
The aim of this project was to introduce the basic skill sets required to competently handle the design and
production of a multiple page document in the form of a conventional printed magazine.
The publication was to promote your suburb, or an event that occurs in your suburb. ie: an
annual festival, ethnic diversity, history or geography of the area.
My chosen event was the infamous 'Splendour in the Grass' music festival which takes place in Australia's beautiful Byron Bay town.
The whole publication was to have a homogenous look. That is, it is to utilize a design concept, the use of a grid structure or other graphic devices that will give it a consistent feel throughout. This project was carried out using computer programs Adobe Indesign and Adobe Photoshop and had to include a cover, advertisement, contents list, three editorial spreads a chart and back cover.
The outcome... Splendid!
