The Splendours of Splendour

The aim of this project was to introduce the basic skill sets required to competently handle the design and
production of a multiple page document in the form of a conventional printed magazine.
The publication was to promote your suburb, or an event that occurs in your suburb. ie: an
annual festival, ethnic diversity, history or geography of the area.
My chosen event was the infamous 'Splendour in the Grass' music festival which takes place in Australia's beautiful Byron Bay town.
The whole publication was to have a homogenous look. That is, it is to utilize a design concept, the use of a grid structure or other graphic devices that will give it a consistent feel throughout. This project was carried out using computer programs Adobe Indesign and Adobe Photoshop and had to include a cover, advertisement, contents list, three editorial spreads a chart and back cover.
The outcome... Splendid!
